What should be noted when selecting a gasified water-cooled high-efficiency cement cooler?
This paper introduces key technical points for selecting and applying vertical cement coolers. It defines core cooling parameters including hourly throughput, cement inlet temperature, cooling water temperature and target temperature drop. Installation arrangement is recommended beside air slide trestles with bypass layout, enabling independent operation of the cooler while maintaining direct material conveying for the main line. The selection of cement coolers differs greatly for open-circuit and closed-circuit grinding systems. Open-circuit cement has higher temperature and contains metallic particles, requiring slag removal; closed-circuit cement runs cooler with fewer metal impurities. Special attention must be paid during cement grade switching: residual cement inside the overflow-type cooler must be emptied before product change to avoid uncontrollable quality mixing. The airtight feed pump is recommended for emptying residual cement due to low cost, small footprint and compatibility with existing fluidization Roots blowers.
